Web Video Marketing – The Key To Your Online Marketing Strategy

Over the past few years, web video marketing has outpaced other forms of online marketing. Successful marketers have quickly embraced it and developed powerful marketing strategies around it. Today, some of the most engaging marketing messages are delivered through unique web-based marketing videos.

But why is that so?

What makes video so powerful that marketers consider it an essential part of their online marketing arsenal?

This post will explore the power of video and how you can start tapping into it.

5 Reasons Why Web Video Marketing Is So Powerful

1. Content consumption trends have shifted

Social hangouts called online chat-rooms were once the hottest spots on the net. People exchanged information in the form of text and images. But video now rules the roost. And the evidence is everywhere from YouTube to Facebook, Whatsapp and other social media.

Clearly, the way web visitors consume information is now biased towards video. Life itself is becoming increasingly fast paced. Thus, video allows people to keep up without compromising information quality. We’re all busy and in a hurry. And videos make consumption of information a snappy affair.

2. Video sharing sites are popular

Popularity of video sharing sites like Youtube, Vine and Metacafe is obvious and continues to grow. Smart marketers aren’t concerned much with the nitty gritty of why this growth persists.  Instead, they watch associated traffic volume.

Currently, it is believed that YouTube is morphing into the ultimate video search engine. Being the second most popular site on the net, this development is not surprising. The same popularity is bound to spread through all video sharing sites.

As a marketer, you need to get your offers where the market is. And being on the video sharing sites will exponentially increase your chances of hitting your marketing target. No wonder why vlogs are starting to take over from plain old blogs.

3. Videos are great for SEO

It has not been conclusively proven that adding a video to a webpage in itself improves rankings. However, by adding a video to your webpage, you lend it benefits which have positive effects on rankings.

First, when visitors watch embedded videos, they spend more time on your site. This is great for your bounce rate, which is an important SEO metric. Video embedded pages are bound to be more popular than plain text ones. This popularity will make your site appear as an authority on the relevant keyword subject. And you know how search engines respect authority sites.

These are just some of the many benefits of adding videos to your blog posts.

4. Videos can add a personal touch to the message

If there’s one thing that text lacks, it is accompanying the message with the appropriate emotion. Though punctuation makes a mild attempt, it usually portrays vague or confusing emotions.

Now try filming yourself acting out the text, and you add nuclear to the power of your message. Videos are great for adding voice tones and other dramatic body actions to marketing messages. You can easily express sympathy, empathy and other expressions which help engage visitors more. If you are good in front of the camera, showing your face can also be great for garnering more trust. At the end of the day, the more you’re trusted in your niche, the better you can convert sales.

5. Video is fun, period!

If you had to read the Lord of The Rings trilogy or watch the movie series, which option would you choose?

Most people would choose to watch the movies.

The reason is simply that videos (movies) are much more fun to consume. When you add videos to your site, you make it more fun to consume the message. As long as the experience is fun and valuable; you’ll always see repeat visitors and increased sales.

These are just a few of the many benefits of web video marketing. If you want to stay relevant in this game, video marketing is no longer an option. Though you can embed other people’s videos to your posts, your own videos will deliver maximum benefits.

Don’t’ Fret, It’s Super-Easy To Make Your Own Videos

Here are a few simple ways to create your own professional looking videos.

1. Turn any blog post into a video

This is by far the simplest video creation tool I’ve seen. If you don’t want to waste time learning to use video software, this is your number one option. With Article Video Robot a few clicks will create great videos from any simple blog post!

2. Use your smartphone

Smartphones make it very easy to create instant videos.

Every Sunday I use my smartphone to create a basic “talking head” style video of me talking directly at the screen. I use this format to run my weekly $25 Tripleclicks Gift Certificate Prize Draw for active members of my SFI team.

The videos vary in length from around three to nine minutes. I post them straight onto my YouTube channel without any editing. I can get the job done in less than 30 minutes, and often, for a three minute video, in less than 10 minutes.

Once the video is on YouTube, I add some content, and then share the video on my blog. I create a video transcript and post it on my blog along with the video. In that way, I repurpose the video content as written content for my blog.

Once the blog post is published, I go back to YouTube and add a link to the blog post.

3. Use screen capture software for demos

When you want to do a demo, or show proof of results; screen capture software is fantastic. It captures whatever is on your screen and turns it into a video. You can also add a small screen showing the presenter (yourself) and/or voice narration.

4. Get it done on Fiverr

Well, this doesn’t exactly fit into the web video marketing bracket. But it can produce videos custom made for your site. For as little as $5, you can find someone on Fiverr to create a short video to promote your offers.
