If you’re building an online business, the cost of your marketing tools can soon add up. You may need an autoresponder to manage your email list, a page builder to create landing pages, a way to attract traffic, and tools to track the results of your campaigns.
You can buy these services separately, but is that always the best approach?
I’ve been using LeadsLeap since 2008, and it has been one of my “Top 5 Programs” ever since I launched this blog in 2017. I originally upgraded to Pro because of the advertising service and the other marketing tools available to members. Then, in 2020, something happened that made my membership even more valuable: LeadsLeap introduced SendSteed, its own autoresponder service, at no additional cost.
I was already paying for a separate autoresponder, so I was able to cancel that subscription and use SendSteed instead.
That experience is a good starting point for answering a question I think affiliate marketers should ask themselves: is LeadsLeap Pro worth $27 a month?
What Do You Get With LeadsLeap Pro?
LeadsLeap is more than an advertising network. It provides a collection of tools designed to help internet marketers attract visitors, build mailing lists, create landing pages and promote their businesses.
According to the official LeadsLeap website, Pro membership costs $27 a month, with no additional upsells. Pro members have their ads shown in the network around the clock without needing advertising credits. They also get unlimited lists, pages and popups, along with advanced features such as automated email series and the PDF link rebrander.
Here’s a closer look at the main benefits.
1. Advertising to Attract Visitors
One of the original reasons I upgraded to LeadsLeap Pro was its advertising network.
Getting people to visit your website or landing page is a fundamental part of building an online business. You can have a great offer and an attractive landing page, but neither will do much for you if nobody sees it.
LeadsLeap provides a way to promote your pages within its network. Pro members can create ten “pro ads” and have their ads displayed 24/7 without using advertising credits. In other words, you don’t have to keep earning or buying credits just to maintain your advertising presence. Set up your ads and you will get a steady flow of visitors to your landing pages from Leadsleaps extensive ad network.
Of course, advertising is not a guarantee of subscribers or sales. You still need an offer that appeals to your audience and a page that gives visitors a reason to take action. You should also use Leadsleap’s tracking data to monitor your results and see which campaigns are worth continuing.
When you set up a Pro ad you can choose what type of audience you want to show your ad to by selecting the best category to place it in. In my experience, an appealing landing page and a well targeted ad will deliver a steady stream of fresh subscribers onto your mailing list.
Tip 1: Use Leadsleap ads to build your list, not to generate cold-traffic sales. Build you list first.
Tip 2: Point all ten Pro ads to ONE landing page for maximum impact. Each of the ten ads should be different from the others, and you can post them in several different (but related) categories. Not only will that deliver maximum traffic to your landing page, it will also give you a lot of tracking data.
2. SendSteed: An Autoresponder Included in Your Membership
For me, the addition of SendSteed was a particularly welcome development.
Before SendSteed became available, I was already paying for LeadsLeap Pro because I valued its Pro advertising and other tools. When the autoresponder was introduced, I gained another important business tool without having to pay for an additional subscription.
I tried SendSteed, found that it met my needs, and cancelled my separate autoresponder subscription.
That was a straightforward financial decision. I was already paying for LeadsLeap, and now the membership covered something else I had previously been paying for elsewhere.
SendSteed lets you build mailing lists, send broadcasts and set up automated email follow-up series. You can use it to welcome new subscribers, deliver a lead magnet, introduce people to your business and continue communicating with them over time.
This is particularly relevant to affiliate marketers. Rather than relying entirely on somebody clicking an affiliate link and making a purchase on their first visit, you can build a relationship with subscribers and introduce relevant offers in your follow-up emails.
You can also create separate lists for different interests, lead magnets and affiliate campaigns, helping you keep your communications relevant to the people receiving them.
If you’re new to email marketing, I’ve published a series of LeadsLeap training videos on this blog. For example, Training Video #6 shows you how to set up a SendSteed autoresponder email series.
The purpose of this article isn’t to repeat those tutorials. I want to explain why the service is worth considering as part of the wider LeadsLeap package.
3. Unlimited Lists, Pages and Popups
One of the things I particularly appreciate about the LeadsLeap Pro pricing model is that it doesn’t automatically become more expensive as your business grows.
Pro members can create unlimited landing pages and mailing lists, and attract unlimited subscribers to those lists, all for the fixed price of $27.
Consider how this works in practice.
You might start with one mailing list and one lead magnet. Later, you decide to promote a different affiliate program, create a new lead magnet or build a funnel around another offer. You may want separate landing pages and mailing lists for each project.
As your activities expand, the number of lists, pages and subscribers you manage can grow considerably.
With services that base their prices on subscriber numbers, that growth can mean moving to progressively more expensive plans. With LeadsLeap Pro, you don’t have to worry about your monthly membership fee automatically increasing just because your list has grown.
That makes the pricing model attractive to affiliate marketers who want to experiment with different offers and build several funnels without having to calculate the additional cost of every new list.
Naturally, the $27 monthly fee is still a business expense, and you’ll want to consider whether you’re making effective use of the tools. But at least you know what the subscription costs and can rest assured that it will not increase as the number of your subscribers grows.
4. A Page Builder and Popup Creator
You also need somewhere to send the traffic you’re generating.
LeadsLeap includes a page builder that allows you to create and host landing pages without having to arrange separate web hosting. You can build opt-in pages to collect email addresses, thank-you pages, download pages and other pages needed for your marketing campaigns.
The popup creator gives you another way to invite visitors to subscribe to your mailing list when they visit one of your websites.
These tools work alongside SendSteed. You can create a landing page, connect it to a mailing list, and begin collecting subscribers who can then receive your welcome message and follow-up emails.
If you already have a WordPress website, you can continue using it as the main home for your content while using LeadsLeap for specific landing pages and funnels. Indeed, each web property can support the other. You can post an optin form or popup on your website to grow your list on Leadsleap, and you can direct your Leadsleap list subscribers back to your blog every time you publish fresh content.
Leadsleap’s page builder also supports share codes, which allow pages and other funnel components to be shared with other LeadsLeap members. This feature becomes particularly useful when you want to use a funnel that somebody else has already created.
5. Tracking and Other Marketing Tools
LeadsLeap provides additional tools that can help you manage your marketing activities.
Its link tracker allows you to monitor clicks and gather information about the traffic reaching your links. Tracking is important because you need some way to assess the performance of your advertising and campaigns rather than simply assuming that they’re working.
There’s also image and PDF hosting, along with the PDF link rebrander, which can be useful when you’re distributing lead magnets or other downloadable resources with embedded affiliate links. You can create a PDF, distribute it to your network, and point them to your rebrander so that they can replace your affiliate links with theirs in the PDF.
Taken together, these features provide much of the basic infrastructure an affiliate marketer needs to attract visitors, collect subscribers and promote offers.
You may still need other services for particular tasks, but it’s worth looking at what is already available in your LeadsLeap account before paying for another tool.
What About the Free LeadsLeap Membership?
You don’t have to pay to get started with LeadsLeap.
The free membership gives you access to a selection of its tools, including SendSteed, the page builder, the popup creator and the advertising network. It provides a way to explore the platform and start building a mailing list without committing to a monthly subscription.
There are limits, however.
Free members can have up to 10 lists, pages and popups. SendSteed also limits free members to 10 email broadcasts in a 30-day period, and automated email follow-up series are a Pro feature.
You can also post ads on Leadsleap as a free member, but you have to manually earn credits to send traffic to them.
For someone who is just getting started, these restrictions may not be a problem. You can explore the tools, learn how the system works and decide what you need as your business develops.
The point at which Pro becomes worthwhile depends on your plans and how much use you expect to make of the additional features.
If you want to run several funnels, create more pages and mailing lists, advertise without using credits, and automate your email follow-up, the paid membership offers considerably more room to work.
You can find the current details on the official LeadsLeap website.
Why LeadsLeap Pro Also Makes Sense for Evergreen Funnel Club Members
There’s another reason I recommend LeadsLeap Pro, particularly to people who are interested in the Evergreen Funnel Club.
The Evergreen Funnel Club is my own membership program. I created it to help affiliate marketers put their Leadsleap Pro marketing tools to work without having to build every funnel and campaign from scratch.
Members get access to reusable marketing resources, including funnels for selected WarriorPlus launches, rebrandable ebook lead-magnet funnels, training and a growing collection of evergreen campaigns.
The funnels are designed to work with LeadsLeap. Members can import them using share codes, replace the affiliate links with their own, customise the pages and emails, and then promote the resulting campaigns.
For that reason, a Pro LeadsLeap membership is a requirement for making full use of Evergreen Funnel Club’s funnel resources.
If you’re already a LeadsLeap Pro member, you have the underlying platform needed to use those resources. If you’re a free member, or haven’t joined LeadsLeap at all, you’ll need to take the additional membership cost into account when deciding whether the Evergreen Funnel Club is right for you.
Of course, you don’t need to join the Evergreen Funnel Club to benefit from LeadsLeap. The platform has plenty to offer on its own. EFC is an additional option for those who want ready-made campaigns and other resources to help them make use of the tools.
Is LeadsLeap Pro Right for You?
I have used LeadsLeap since 2008, and it remains one of the programs I recommend. My decision to upgrade was originally based on the advertising and other tools. When SendSteed was added, I gained a service that allowed me to cancel a separate subscription.
That doesn’t mean LeadsLeap will meet every marketer’s requirements.
If you need a particular integration, a specialised email marketing workflow or features that the platform doesn’t provide, you may still need another service. It’s sensible to check the available features before making a decision.
You should also remember that having a collection of marketing tools doesn’t automatically produce an online income. You still need to choose suitable offers, create useful content, attract relevant traffic and build relationships with your subscribers.
But if you’re an affiliate marketer looking for a practical collection of tools at a predictable monthly cost, LeadsLeap Pro deserves serious consideration.
For $27 a month, you get advertising without credits, unlimited lists, pages and popups, SendSteed’s email marketing features and a range of other tools. You can build your own funnels and campaigns, or use shared resources such as those available through Evergreen Funnel Club.
For me, the value became even clearer when SendSteed was added to a membership I was already using. I didn’t need another subscription to gain that capability, and I was able to simplify my business expenses by cancelling my previous autoresponder.
That’s the sort of practical consideration I think is worth keeping in mind when choosing the tools for an online business. Rather than looking at the price of each tool in isolation, consider the complete package, what you will actually use, and whether it helps you build a business you can sustain.
