One of the things I like about having a blog as part of an online business is that it gives you somewhere to build an audience over time. The problem, of course, is keeping the thing updated. Coming up with ideas, deciding what to write about, putting an article together and getting it published can easily become a job in itself. And when you’re also dealing with affiliate marketing, traffic generation, email marketing and everything else involved in running an online business, blogging can quickly slip down the list.
That’s why I was interested in the latest addition to the Evergreen Funnel Club. EFC members now have access to a new monthly Blog Post Template service, with approximately five templates provided each month. The templates can be used with your preferred AI tool to create articles specifically for your own blog, rather than simply giving you another batch of generic content to copy and paste.

Each month, EFC members can download a PDF containing approximately five blog post templates based around a particular topic. You simply choose one of the templates, copy it into your preferred AI tool and add your own blog URL along with any additional instructions you want it to follow. The AI can then use your existing website to understand your writing style and the type of content you publish before producing an article based on the template.
That’s where I think the service becomes more useful than simply asking an AI tool to write a blog post from scratch. You are starting with a specific topic and a structure for the article, but you can then tell the AI about your own website, your audience, your experience and the way you want the finished article to sound.
You’re Not Just Copying an AI Article
This is particularly important because the same templates are available to other EFC members. If a hundred people downloaded the same template and published the resulting article without making any changes, you could potentially end up with a hundred very similar articles. That’s not the purpose of the service.
Instead, the template gives you the subject, the basic structure and the points that could be covered. You can then customise the instructions for your own website. For example, you could ask the AI to scan your existing blog and use it to understand your writing style, specify the language you want it to use, explain who your audience is and provide your own experiences or opinions that should be incorporated into the article.
You can also ask it to come up with a title that is appropriate for your particular blog rather than simply reproducing the title from the template. In the video, for example, I demonstrate how a fairly general template about what working from home as an affiliate marketer actually looks like can be turned into something much more relevant to my own blog and experience.
The result is that two people can start with exactly the same template and end up with quite different articles. The template provides the starting point, but your website and the instructions you give the AI determine where you take it.
Five Templates Every Month
The plan is to provide approximately five new templates every month, giving you a regular source of ideas without requiring you to come up with five completely new subjects from scratch. You don’t necessarily need to use every template, of course. If a particular topic doesn’t fit your website, you can ignore it, while a subject that is particularly relevant to your audience could be developed further and expanded with your own ideas and experience.
You can also use the templates simply as inspiration. Sometimes having a suggested topic and a few points to cover is enough to get you thinking about an article of your own. The real benefit is that you’re no longer starting with a completely blank WordPress editor and wondering what on earth you’re going to write about.
Once you have the starting point, AI can help you turn it into a draft, and you can then edit that draft before publishing it. You might change the title, add your own experiences, remove sections that aren’t relevant, check the facts or simply rewrite parts of the article so that it sounds more like you. The template is there to make the content creation process easier; it isn’t intended to replace your own judgement.
A Good Fit for Affiliate Marketers
I think this is particularly relevant to affiliate marketers because a blog can do much more than simply publish product reviews. You can write about your own experiences, explain how you use particular tools, answer questions that people are asking, document things you’ve learned and create useful resources around the subjects covered by your website.
Those articles can then become part of your wider marketing system. A blog post might bring a visitor in from search, provide useful information to somebody already on your email list, give you something to share elsewhere or naturally introduce a relevant product or service that you recommend as an affiliate. Over time, the blog becomes an asset that you continue to build rather than simply another task that has to be completed every week.
That doesn’t mean you should publish five AI-generated articles every month without reading them. In fact, I think the opposite approach makes much more sense. Use the template to get started, let AI help with the initial writing, and then put your own knowledge and experience back into the article before you publish it. That’s what turns a generic starting point into something that actually belongs on your website.
