Here are some of the risks unwary bloggers can face on other “free WordPress hosting” sites:
- Limited resources: Free WordPress hosting services typically offer limited disk space, bandwidth, and other resources. This can limit the functionality of your website and cause it to slow down or crash if it receives too much traffic.
- Limited customization options: Free WordPress hosting providers may not allow you to customize your website as much as you would like. You may not be able to use certain plugins or themes, which can limit your website’s functionality and design.

Okay, in this module I’m going to log into my Wealthy Affiliate account and set up a free website on the SiteRubix domain so it will be a subdomain website to show you how quick and easy it is to get yourself set up with a free WordPress blog on a very good hosting platform.
So first of all, let’s log into Wealthy Affiliate. To set up a website, we come to Websites. I have a whole bunch of websites here, this is where I host all of my websites. I have a premium account. So we come over to Websites and we hit the Site Builder. And we have a choice. We’ve got free domain, a domain I own or register a domain. In these two cases, are for paid hosting, where you either have already bought a domain name or you register a domain name with Wealthy Affiliate. We’ll talk about that in upcoming modules. Today, we’re going to make a free site on a subdomain so we can see here we have the site Rubik’s domain name, and we’re going to create a name for our site here.
So let’s call it “My Exciting Website”. If that name is available, look at that, it’s available. So, “My Exciting Website.siterubix.com”. Enter a title for the site, “My Exciting Website”. And choose a design. Well, we’ll just choose any design we like here. Build my website.
So now we are building the website. Now we’re installing the database, activating site protection, activating spam protection, finalizing the initiation. We’re 99%. There is less than a minute since I clicked that button, and here we go. So now we can go and check our website. There’ll be nothing on it, but we do now have a free, completely free WordPress website hosted as a subdomain on SiteRubix.com. And there’s no ads from SiteRubix, no ads from Wealthy Affiliate on here. It’s completely your own free website. And here is the login.
You can log into your back office and you can start setting up your website, creating content for your website, and so on. And this is where I log in. So you’ve got your login there. If you happen to know your login details, then you can put them manually into this box here, which is the standard WordPress login box. But you can log in directly from your Wealthy Affiliate account via the Websites Site Manager. So log in now, and welcome to WordPress. There we are. You can create your first post, you can work on the appearance of your blog and so forth, but that is all in other modules.
